Bank of Baroda Joins Jamshedpur Women’s University for Linguistic Heritage Event
In a significant cultural collaboration, Jamshedpur Women’s University and Bank of Baroda honored International Mother Tongue Day, emphasizing the richness of linguistic diversity.
JAMSHEDPUR – The auditorium of Jamshedpur Women’s University became a melting pot of linguistic diversity on February 21, 2024, as it hosted a grand celebration in observance of International Mother Tongue Day.
Under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Dr. Anjila Gupta, the event showcased the collaborative efforts of the university’s Humanities Department and Bank of Baroda.
Sunil Kumar Saha, the Deputy Regional Head of Bank of Baroda, was present as the chief guest, highlighting the synergy between academia and the banking sector in promoting cultural awareness.
The gathering saw notable university officials like Registrar Rajendra Kumar Jaiswal, FO Javed Ahmed, and Humanities Dean Dr. Sudhir Kumar Sahu in attendance, along with Program Coordinator Dr. Nupur Anvita Minj.
Students took the stage to exhibit their mastery over languages such as Maithili, Urdu, Mundari, Bangla, Oriya, Kudukh, Santhali, and Bhojpuri, celebrating the wide spectrum of linguistic heritage.
The event underscored the importance of nurturing one’s mother tongue among the youth, aiming to foster an enduring commitment to preserving linguistic traditions.
