Accident at Salgajhudi station leaves woman with severe injuries

A woman sustains severe injuries and loses a leg after a train accident at Salgajhudi station, currently receiving treatment at MGM Hospital.

JAMSHEDPUR – Rupali, originally from Dhalbhumgarh, was admitted to MGM Hospital following a severe train accident at Salgajhudi station near Tatanagar.

The incident occurred at 9 am as she attempted to board the Tata Kharagpur passenger train.

She was en route to her home in Dhalbhumgarh at the time.

Rupali slipped and fell between the train and the track as the train started moving, resulting in the amputation of one of her legs.

The train was promptly halted to facilitate her rescue and immediate medical attention.

Rupali, who resides with her family after being left by her husband, is a mother.

She hails from Kalajhudi under the jurisdiction of Shyamsundarpur police station in Chakulia.

The accident has left her with serious injuries, necessitating ongoing treatment at the hospital.
