CII Young Indians and EMRI boost first aid training in Jamshedpur

Over two days, the Faristey program by CII Young Indians and EMRI trained local professionals in life-saving techniques, aiming to empower 10,000 citizens in 2024.

JAMSHEDPUR – CII Young Indians, Jamshedpur, has set an ambitious goal to train 10,000 citizens as efficient first responders in emergency situations throughout 2024.

This initiative, titled “Faristey,” was conducted in collaboration with EMRI at Tata Steel and Chamber Bhavan, Bistupur.

The training welcomed employees from Tata Steel Ltd., United Group, Metalsa India Private Ltd., Shree Sahajanand Automech Private Ltd., and Rupa Electric Systems.

It focused on essential life-saving techniques and first aid response, equipping participants with the skills to act promptly during emergencies.

A comprehensive hands-on session enabled attendees to practice the techniques learned, including CPR and the use of Deep Respirator machines for immediate response.

The program emphasized the importance of quick and effective emergency care, teaching techniques for bleeding control, checking pulse rates, and safely moving patients.

Participants were trained to distinguish between trauma and medical emergencies, ensuring they could respond correctly in various situations.

The training covered fundamental principles of first aid, emphasizing the preservation of life, promoting recovery, and preventing condition worsening.

At the program’s start, a pre-test was conducted online to assess the participants’ initial knowledge.

CII Young Indians‘ commitment to enhancing emergency response capabilities highlights the critical importance of the “Platinum Period” and “Golden Hour” following accidents.

The “Faristey” program concluded successfully, showing a notable improvement in participants’ knowledge and readiness to handle emergencies, as evidenced by a post-test and feedback session.

This effort underscores a vital community service, aiming to bolster the region’s emergency preparedness and response capacity significantly.
