Railway Schedule Altered Due to Development Works

Train Cancellations and Route Changes Impact Tata-Purulia-Adra Section

Passengers to face disruptions this week on Tata-Purulia-Adra and Ranchi-Purulia-Adra routes due to railway developmental works.

JAMSHEDPUR – Travelers on the Tata-Purulia-Adra and Ranchi-Purulia-Adra rail sections are bracing for inconvenience as several trains have been canceled and others rerouted due to developmental activities in the Adra Railway Division.

The South Eastern Railway has announced a power block to facilitate these works, leading to significant alterations in the weekly train schedule.

Notably, the Asansol-Adra-Asansol (MEMU) Special (Train Nos. 08644/08643) will not operate on the 15th and 17th of February.

Similarly, the Bhojudih-Chandrapura-Bhojudih (MEMU) service (Train Nos. 08665/08666) will see a shortened journey on the 16th of February.

On the 13th of February, the Tata-Asansol-Barabhum (MEMU) special (Train Nos. 08174/08652) will terminate its journey at Adra, resuming its route to Barabhum from this point.

The Kharagpur-Hatia-Kharagpur Express (Train Nos. 18035/18036) will also conclude its journey prematurely at Adra on the 12th and 15th of February, heading back to Hatia.

Furthermore, on February 15th, the Asansol-Purulia-Asansol special (Train Nos. 03594/03593) will reach its endpoint at Adra and return from the same location.

This series of cancellations and route adjustments is a temporary measure aimed at enhancing the rail infrastructure, ensuring better services for passengers in the long run.
