Local residents alerted the police, leading to the recovery of the empty box near a workers’ flat, with the money missing.

The temple’s priest disclosed that the box had remained unopened for a year, highlighting the potential loss.

This theft is part of a worrying trend of similar incidents targeting temples and their donation boxes in Jamshedpur and Adityapur.

Police are investigating the theft, aiming to address the increasing instances of temple burglaries in the area.
