A theft occurred at a Kali temple in Bhatia Basti, Jamshedpur, with the donation box stolen and later recovered by the police.

JAMSHEDPUR – The incident was reported at the temple within the Kadma police station’s jurisdiction, where burglars broke the lock and took the donation box.

Local residents alerted the police, leading to the recovery of the empty box near a workers’ flat, with the money missing.

The temple’s priest disclosed that the box had remained unopened for a year, highlighting the potential loss.

This theft is part of a worrying trend of similar incidents targeting temples and their donation boxes in Jamshedpur and Adityapur.

Police are investigating the theft, aiming to address the increasing instances of temple burglaries in the area.
