Indian Bird Photography Society Engages Students in Bird Conservation
A.K Sahay educates on bird species and ecological balance at an IBPS-organized event at Srinath College of Education, promoting wildlife conservation.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Indian Bird Photography Society (IBPS) conducted a bird awareness program at Srinath College of Education, spearheaded by its founder A.K Sahay, a distinguished Indian naturalist and bird photographer.
Assistant Professor Jayshree Singh expressed gratitude towards all participants and organizers, wrapping up the event with a vote of thanks.
The event featured an engaging quiz competition on bird-related knowledge, with winners awarded certificates and prizes, highlighting the educational aspect of the program.
Assistant Professor and Eco Club coordinator Rekha Kumari Gope took charge of anchoring and coordinating the event, ensuring its smooth execution.
The presence of Vice Chancellor Dr. S.N. Singh, Principal Rachna Rashmi, along with faculty members and students of B. Ed and D. El.Ed courses, underscored the community’s commitment to environmental education.
Dr. Raju Kumar, along with team members Abhishek Bharati and Kishore Kumar, played a crucial role in supporting the initiative, emphasizing collaboration in conservation efforts.
Sahay’s presentation covered the diversity of bird species, their habitats, and the threats to their survival, aiming to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation among students.
The significance of birds in maintaining ecological balance, enhancing vegetation through seed dispersion, and controlling insect populations was a key focus of Sahay’s message.
