Champai Soren Distributes Abua Awas Yojna Certificates Amid Political Charge
Chief Minister Champai Soren’s remarks against the Centre highlight a political rally during a housing scheme distribution in Jamshedpur.
JAMSHEDPUR – At a significant public gathering at Gopal Maidan, Chief Minister Champai Soren launched a dual initiative, combining the distribution of Abua Awas Yojna certificates with political commentary.
Over 24,000 beneficiaries from Kolhan received the first installment of funds, totalling Rs 74.78 crores, marking a major step in the State Government’s housing initiative.
The event attracted a crowd of 5,000, emphasizing the scheme’s direct impact on the rural population of Singhbhum and Seraikela-Kharsawan without middleman interference.
Champai Soren, addressing his political stance, criticized the central government for its alleged misuse of the Enforcement Directorate against Hemant Soren.
Further, the chief minister announced significant policy updates, including free electricity up to 125 units for consumers, aiming to alleviate financial burdens on the populace.
Plans for improving Kolhan’s irrigation infrastructure were also unveiled, promising a better future for the region’s agriculture.
The political undercurrent was evident with statements from Congress legislator Banna Gupta and Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi, accusing the NDA government of conspiratorial actions.
Corporate entities, including Tata Steel, showed their support for the initiative, reflecting a broad base of endorsement for the chief minister’s efforts.
The Abua Awas Yojana aims to provide comprehensive housing assistance to rural families, with a special focus on integrating toilet construction through national missions.
