Chief Minister Soren Raises Free Power Limit to 125 Units for Residents
The Jharkhand government enhances its electricity subsidy, offering 125 free units to domestic consumers, fostering economic relief and promoting efficiency.
RANCHI – Chief Minister Champai Soren has mandated the completion of the tribal language teacher appointment process swiftly, aiming to enrich cultural and linguistic education.
He emphasized the necessity for a permanent waiting list for the Abua Housing Scheme to combat misuse and ensure fairness.
Soren’s directives included increasing the commission for Public Distribution System (PDS) dealers and ensuring monthly grain distribution to green ration card holders, to improve food security.
More than 59 lakh 28 thousand applications have been received under the “Aapki Yojana-Aapki Sarkar-Aapke Dwar” program, with over 60 percent already processed, demonstrating the government’s responsiveness.
The Chief Minister stressed the importance of prompt action on public applications, ensuring none remain pending and providing reasons for any rejections, reflecting a commitment to transparency and efficiency.
Soren has urged all departments to expedite their budget spending to meet the fiscal year’s objectives, highlighting his focus on fiscal responsibility and development.
He announced the enhanced ‘100-unit free electricity’ scheme, now offering up to 125 units of free power, aiming to alleviate the financial strain on households.
This initiative, launched in 2022, originally provided up to 100 units of free electricity to domestic users, reflecting the government’s dedication to reducing living costs.
In a review meeting, Chief Minister Champai Soren instructed the energy department to draft a proposal to extend the free electricity limit for domestic consumers, marking a significant policy shift.
The decision to raise the free electricity limit from 100 to 125 units monthly for domestic users was made, aiming to lessen the economic burden on Jharkhand’s residents.
