The 76th Sastha Preeti Celebrations at Sri Dharma Sastha Temple Display Vedic Traditions

Elaborate Vedic Rituals Mark Second Day of Sastha Preeti at Sri Dharma Sastha Temple

On the second day of the 76th Sastha Preeti celebrations at Sri Dharma Sastha Temple, an array of Vedic rituals highlighted the event, attracting hundreds of devotees.

JAMSHEDPUR – The evening at Sri Dharma Sastha Temple resonated with the profound chanting of Rudra Krama Archana and various Vedic passages by the 32 learned Ved Pandits.

These chants followed a day filled with traditional Vedic ceremonies, marked by the commencement of Chaturdasa Sahasra Modak havan.

Earlier in the day, Sri P N Sankaran, the Working President of the Temple, conducted the Maha Aarti, a significant religious ritual.

This pivotal ceremony was part of a series of rituals that commenced with a Havan dedicated to Maha Ganapati.

The atmosphere of devotion was further heightened as the Temple’s managing committee members distributed Prasad, symbolizing blessings, to the multitude of gathered devotees.

Highlighting the day’s events, the Ved Pandits initiated a special Chatur Laksha Havan, focusing on Ekakshara Ganapati.

A major highlight was the installation of 16 Kalash, or sacred urns, each representing one of the 16 forms of Ganapati, including Maha Ganapati, Shakti Ganapati, and others, by the visiting Pandits.

These installations, undertaken by the Pandits, were a vital part of the Maha Ganapati Maha Yagna.

The day’s ceremonies began with a Havan for Maha Ganapati, setting a spiritual tone for the subsequent events.
