Industrial Visit Connects RVS College Students with Practical Engineering
Civil engineering students from RVS College of Engineering and Technology experienced practical industry applications during their visit to RP Cylinders Company in Dhalbhumgarh.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant practical learning experience, civil engineering students from RVS College of Engineering and Technology visited RP Cylinders Company in Dhalbhumgarh.
The visit, involving students from the third and fifth semesters of B.Tech, was an initiative to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry practices.
Under the guidance of Professor Gangesh Kumar Thakur, Head of the Department of Civil Engineering, the visit was coordinated in collaboration with the Bureau of Indian Standards.
Professor Rajesh Kumar Paswan and Saurbh Rai, the Marketing Manager of the Jamshedpur region for the Bureau of Indian Standards, also accompanied the students.
During the tour, students gained insights into the assembly process of cylinders produced under the Ujjwala scheme.
Ranjan Kumar, the Plant Manager of RP Cylinders Company, provided an in-depth overview of the company’s operations.
Quantity Engineer Abhay Kumar shared his expertise on the manufacturing unit, specifically pertaining to cylinder production.
This industrial visit was designed to enrich the students’ understanding of civil engineering applications in real-world scenarios.
Professor Gangesh Kumar Thakur underscored the importance of such tours in equipping students with valuable practical insights necessary for their future careers.
