Pinky Sahu of Jamshedpur Recounts Horrific Domestic Violence Incident
Pinky Sahu, a Jamshedpur resident, narrowly escapes a lethal assault by her husband, prompting police investigation and community concern over domestic violence.
JAMSHEDPUR – Pinky Sahu, residing in New Baradwari Kishori Nagar under the jurisdiction of Sitaramdera police station in Jamshedpur, suffered a brutal attack by her husband, Anil Kumar Sahu.
In a terrifying turn of events, Anil attempted to stab Pinky with a knife, but she managed to save herself from further harm.
Following the assault, locals intervened and brought Pinky to the Sitaramdera police station, from where she was sent to MGM Hospital for medical care.
Pinky, who earns her livelihood by working in other people’s homes, revealed that her marriage of 14 years has been troubled, citing her husband’s frequent drug use.
The incident occurred when she returned home after a six-day absence, which she had spent working at another house without informing her husband.
Anil’s violent reaction upon her return included beating her and slamming her head against a wall, causing serious injuries.
A plumber working in the house intervened, saving Pinky from a potentially fatal attack.
Pinky has filed a written complaint at the Sitaramdera police station, triggering a police investigation into the matter.
