14-Year-Old Kadma Boy Drowns During Picnic
A joyous picnic turns tragic for a 14-year-old boy from Kadma, Jamshedpur, who drowned in the Dobo Sapra river.
JAMSHEDPUR – Adarsh Pandey, a 14-year-old student from Kadma, Jamshedpur, tragically drowned in the Dobo Sapra river of Seraikela-Kharsawan district during a picnic.
Adarsh, a student at Netaji Subhash Public School, had ventured out with six friends on Tuesday morning.
While his friends were bathing in the river, Adarsh, who was initially standing outside, accidentally fell into the water.
Following the incident, local fishermen rescued Adarsh and two of his companions from the river.
He was immediately rushed to MGM Hospital for emergency treatment.
Despite the medical team’s efforts, Adarsh succumbed to his injuries.
The news of his death brought profound grief and chaos to the hospital, with family members arriving in distress.
Adarsh’s father, a car driver, was away from the city at the time of the incident but was promptly informed by the police.
This tragic event has cast a pall over the community, highlighting the need for increased safety measures during recreational activities near water bodies.
