Prominent Litterateurs Discuss Women’s Empowerment at Hindi Festival

The second day of the Seventh International Shrinath Hindi Mahotsav saw deep discussions on women’s writing, marking a significant moment for literary expression at Shrinath University, Adityapur.

JAMSHEDPUR – The three-day Seventh International Shrinath Hindi Mahotsav at Shrinath University in Adityapur continued with insightful sessions on its second day.

Senior Hindi litterateurs Mamta Kalia, Madhu Kankaria, and Dr. Sanjita Verma participated in a session focused on women’s writing.

The session, coordinated by Dr. Sandhya Sinha and Rachna Rashmi, delved into the increasing popularity and impact of women’s literature.

Mamta Kalia discussed the contemporary relevance of women in literature, highlighting their newfound strength and recognition.

Madhu Kankaria shared her experiences writing about the women in Kolkata’s red light area, emphasizing the challenges and insights gained.

Dr. Sanjita Verma from Tribhuvan University of Nepal spoke on the growing focus on women’s struggles in Nepalese literature.

Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla, as a special guest, lauded the university’s efforts in promoting Hindi language.

The festival’s second day also featured competitions in various categories, judged by esteemed panelists including Sandeep Savarna, Sandeep Murarka, and others.

Events like Dangal, Advertisement Composition, Short Drama, and Quiz highlighted the diverse talents of the participants.

The presence of notable guests like Dr. Sumanta Kumar Sen and Senior Advocate Vishnu Garg added prestige to the day’s proceedings.

The Mahotsav continues to be a significant platform for promoting Hindi literature and fostering cultural exchange.

Through discussions and competitions, the festival is championing the cause of Hindi language and literature, with a special emphasis on women’s empowerment and expression.
