Unknown Thieves Break into Rasikpur’s Hanuman Temple, Stealing Valuable Items

Rasikpur’s Hanuman temple becomes the target of a major theft, with significant losses in jewellery and cash.

JAMSHEDPUR – On the night of 21-22 December, a significant theft occurred at the Hanuman temple located in Rasikpur under the jurisdiction of Baharagora police station.

Unknown thieves broke into the temple, stealing jewellery and cash amounting to lakhs.

The theft was reported on Friday, following its discovery.

Santan Tiwari, the in-charge of the police station, arrived at the scene with his team to investigate the incident.

Priest Shiv Shankar provided details of the stolen items: two Gopal idols made of Ashtadhatu, a Durga idol, eight earrings, silver crowns, four bangles, two Charan Padukas, two donation boxes, a laptop, puja utensils, and a cash cupboard containing Rs 1 lakh.

Santan Tiwari assured that the police are thoroughly investigating the matter and are committed to resolving it promptly.
