JAMSHEDPUR – Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee sanitation workers welcomed Additional Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar with fireworks celebrating the city’s third position in national cleanliness survey.

President Draupadi Murmu honored Jamshedpur recently at Vigyan Bhavan in Delhi. The recognition ceremony acknowledged the city’s outstanding cleanliness performance. However, multiple officials represented Jamshedpur during the prestigious award function.

Principal Secretary Urban Sunil Kumar attended the ceremony alongside other dignitaries. Director Suraj Kumar also participated in the honor reception. Moreover, Additional Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar received the award personally.

JNS employees organized an elaborate welcome celebration upon Kumar’s return. Sanitation workers arranged drums and traditional music for the occasion. Furthermore, spectacular fireworks illuminated the evening sky during festivities.

Krishna Kumar addressed media representatives following the warm reception ceremony. He expressed gratitude toward all stakeholders contributing to this achievement. Besides, he outlined ambitious plans for future cleanliness initiatives.

The survey included 4559 cities across India in various population categories. Jamshedpur competed in the three to ten lakh population segment. Consequently, securing third position reflects exceptional municipal management standards.

Kumar credited district administration, Tata Steel and citizens for this success. He emphasized collaborative efforts made the achievement possible. Meanwhile, central government teams conducted extensive citizen feedback surveys.

The additional municipal commissioner announced plans targeting first position next year. Preparation activities have commenced immediately following this recognition. In addition, systematic improvements will enhance existing cleanliness infrastructure.

Citizen participation played a crucial role in survey success according to officials. Government evaluation teams collected comprehensive feedback from residents. Moreover, this grassroots involvement strengthened Jamshedpur’s competitive position significantly.
