Cold Wave Prompts Closure of Schools in East Singhbhum District
The East Singhbhum district administration has announced the closure of all schools from December 26 to December 31, 2023, due to the severe cold wave conditions in the region.
JAMSHEDPUR – In response to the intensifying cold wave, East Singhbhum District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner Shri Manjunath Bhajantri has declared a temporary closure of all schools from December 26 to December 31, 2023.
This decision, influenced by the state government’s directive, encompasses various categories of educational institutions, including government, non-government aided, unaided, minority, and private schools.
However, considering the upcoming secondary and higher secondary board examinations, schools have the discretion to conduct classes for students in grades 10 to 12 as needed.
The focus of this order is to safeguard the health and well-being of students from the adverse effects of the severe cold conditions.
The closure, effective immediately, applies exclusively to schools within the East Singhbhum district.
