Prestigious Gathering at Jamshedpur Women’s University Celebrates Academic Excellence
Sidhgora Campus of Jamshedpur Women’s University was the venue for a notable event on December 12th, marked by the presence of academic luminaries.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Sidhgora Campus of Jamshedpur Women’s University witnessed a grand event on Tuesday, December 12th, commencing with the traditional lighting of the lamp and a melodious Saraswati Vandana.
Dr. Sanatan Deep, head of the music department, along with his students, enthralled the audience with a beautiful rendition of the Kulgeet.
The event was elevated by the presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anjila Gupta, who welcomed her esteemed counterparts, Vice-Chancellor Dr. K. Bhushan Das from Central University, Ranchi, and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. SS Raji from Arka Jain University, Jamshedpur. She presented them with robes, insignia, and plants, symbolizing academic unity and respect.
Dr. Sudhir Sahu, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Director of Research Development, delivered an engaging welcome address. The subject entrance examination was effectively managed by Controller Dr. Rama Subramaniam.
In their respective addresses, Prof. Dr. SS Razi and K Bhushan Das shared valuable insights on research ethics and the importance of critical thinking and open-mindedness in academic pursuits.
Their speeches underscored the qualities essential for successful research, including deep subject knowledge, analytical skills, dedication, appreciation of opportunities, scientific writing approach, and a neutral perspective.
Highlighting the university’s achievements, Prof. Dr. Anjila Gupta, in her presidential address, announced that Jamshedpur Women’s University has been recognized as a Center of Excellence in Commerce, Management, and Economics by the State Government.
This accolade reflects the university’s dedication to multidisciplinary education and research.
Registrar Rajendra Jaiswal offered a heartfelt vote of thanks, while Dr. Manisha Titus adeptly conducted the stage proceedings.
The event also included an induction meeting attended by Dr. Kishwar Ara, Dr. Javed Ahmed, Dr. Deepa Sharan, Dr. Annapurna Jha, Dr. Salomi Kujur, chairpersons of the PG department, faculty members, non-teaching staff, and research students.
The program concluded with the national anthem, leaving a lasting impression of academic excellence and collaboration.
