SAIL RDCIS and Alimco Empower Disabled with Assistive Devices

First Phase of Distribution Camp for Disabled and Seniors Held at Patratu

SAIL RDCIS collaborates with Alimco to distribute assistive devices to 23 disabled people in Patratu under CSR initiative.

RANCHI – In a significant community outreach, SAIL’s Research & Development Center for Iron & Steel (RDCIS) and the Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) have joined forces to support Divyangjan and senior citizens.

This collaboration, part of SAIL RDCIS’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, marked its first phase with a distribution camp at Patratu Block Office.

Here, 23 disabled individuals were provided with various assistive devices, enhancing their mobility and quality of life.

The aid items, including motorized tricycles, mechanical tricycles, wheelchairs, and hearing aids, were all produced by ALIMCO.

Representing SAIL RDCIS at the event were Smarjit Jachuk, CGM of P&A, Dr. GM Chaudhary, DGM, along with Senior Manager and CSR Nodal Officer Rahul Srivastava, Manager of Communication Anand Tiwari, and Nikhil Oraon.

ALIMCO’s team, led by Anil Nayak from Prosthetics & Orthotics, played a crucial role in the distribution process.

Manoj Kumar Gupta, the Block Development Officer (BDO) of Patratu, along with his team, provided essential logistical support to the SAIL team, ensuring the smooth execution of the camp.

This event underscoreD the commitment of both SAIL RDCIS and ALIMCO towards enhancing the lives of the differently-abled and elderly, marking a significant step in their ongoing CSR endeavors.
