Trapped Workers Freed in Uttarakhand, Tragedy Strikes Jharkhand Family

Joy and Sorrow: Workers Safe, Laborer’s Father Passes Away in Jharkhand

The rescue of workers trapped for 41 days in a Silkyara, Uttarakhand tunnel brings mixed emotions to a Jharkhand family.

JAMSHEDPUR – The successful rescue of workers trapped for 41 days in a tunnel in Silkyara, Uttarakhand, has spread an air of jubilation, with many families celebrating like Diwali.

However, this joyous occasion turned bittersweet for a family in Bankisol village, Dumariya block, East Singhbhum district, Jharkhand.

70-year-old Baset Murmu, father of Bhuktu Murmu, one of the laborers trapped in the tunnel, passed away on Tuesday without reuniting with his son.

Baset, who had been anxiously following the rescue efforts, succumbed before the news of his son’s safety reached him.

He had been closely monitoring the Bachwa campaign, hoping for his son’s safe return.

According to reports, Baset Murmu collapsed suddenly on Tuesday morning and passed away shortly after.

Due to the delay in Bhuktu Murmu’s return, the family conducted Baset Murmu’s last rites on Wednesday.

This incident highlights the emotional toll on families of those caught in such disasters.

While the rescue brought relief and joy to many, it also underscored the fragility of life and the profound impact of such events on the families involved.

The situation in Bankisol village reflects the complex weave of happiness and grief experienced by those connected to the tunnel tragedy in Uttarakhand.

Baset Murmu’s passing is a solemn reminder of the personal stories behind every such calamity and the deep emotional scars they leave on survivors and their families.
