RANCHI – Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren met with the state’s workers who were recently rescued from a tunnel in Uttarakhand.

After a challenging three-week rescue operation, the workers safely returned to Jharkhand.

Soren expressed his relief and happiness over their return, acknowledging that the entire country had been praying for their safety during the Uttarakhand tragedy.

The Chief Minister assured that the rescued workers would be integrated into the state government’s employment-related and other schemes.

He emphasized his personal commitment to overseeing this process.

Soren highlighted the government’s focus on ensuring the safety and welfare of all state residents, especially laborers.

The 15 workers, involved in the Silkyara Tunnel accident on the Yamunotri National Highway, were warmly received by family members at Ranchi airport.

The Jharkhand government facilitated their return by airplane and direct transportation to the Chief Minister’s residence.

There, Soren personally welcomed each worker.

The emotional reunion was marked by tears of joy and gratitude towards the Jharkhand government, which had diligently overseen the rescue and care of these workers.

The workers expressed their deep appreciation for the government’s efforts and vowed to remain grateful.

The Chief Minister’s direct engagement with the workers, listening to their experiences, underscores the state’s commitment to its citizens’ well-being.
