JAMSHEDPUR – In a tragic turn of events, Pene Machhua, a 45-year-old farmer from Jojohatu, lost his life in a road accident near Bansha on the Kandra-Chauka road.
The incident occurred early morning when an uncontrolled speeding Scorpio struck him while he was standing roadside.
Before hitting Machhua, the vehicle reportedly collided with a motorcycle.
Machhua sustained severe injuries and was rushed to MGM Hospital by his family.
Upon arrival, doctors pronounced him dead.
Mangal Machhua, the deceased’s brother-in-law, narrated the harrowing incident, describing how the Scorpio lost control and tragically ended Pene Machhua’s life.
Machhua, a resident of Bolandih, is survived by three children – one daughter and two sons.
He was known in his community as a hardworking farmer.
The sudden loss has plunged his family into deep grief.
In a distressing development, the driver of the Scorpio fled the scene immediately after the accident.
Authorities are now investigating the incident and searching for the absconding driver.
