MaggieSpeak to Explore AI’s Impact on Society and Business in 4th Edition
MaggieSpeak’s 4th edition in Bangalore delves into Generative AI’s role in reshaping industry and society, and the responsibilities of businesses in its navigation.
JAMSHEDPUR – MaggieSpeak, an initiative of the Fr. McGrath Memorial Program, is gearing up for its 4th edition on November 29, 2023, at the Bangalore International Centre, Domlur.
This year’s theme, ‘Technology Companies and AI Governance’, will explore the profound impact of Generative AI on society and industry.
The panel discussion is set to focus on how businesses should responsibly navigate the transformative effects of Generative AI.
MaggieSpeak was born out of the desire to perpetuate Fr. McGrath’s legacy of responsible leadership, which has significantly influenced generations of XLRI students.
The event attracts MBA students nationwide, engaging them in debates and discussions on emerging governance challenges.
Past themes have revolved around corporate responsibility and ethical business practices, resonating with Fr. McGrath’s ethos.
Since its inception during the pandemic in 2021, MaggieSpeak has evolved from an online debate to a live event with extensive participation from leading B-schools.
The 4th edition will include a debate competition with finalists from MDI Gurgaon, IMT Ghaziabad, XIME Bangalore, and XLRI Jamshedpur.
An expert panel, including industry leaders like Ankit Bose of NASSCOM and Fathima Sait of Standard Chartered, will discuss the challenges and opportunities posed by Generative AI.
The panel will cover a range of topics, from AI’s impact on business and economy to the risks and regulatory challenges of AI deployment.
With over 70 B-schools participating, MaggieSpeak continues to build on its legacy of fostering responsible leadership and ethical governance in the context of modern business challenges.
