In a remarkable gesture of support during the Chhath Puja festival, Minister Shri Banna Gupta spearheaded the distribution of bottle gourds to 11,000 families across various areas in Jamshedpur.
JAMSHEDPUR – The festive spirit of Chhath Puja in Jamshedpur was uplifted by the thoughtful initiative of Honorable Minister Shri Banna Gupta.
He instructed the distribution of bottle gourd to 11,000 families in the Kadma, Sonari, Bistupur, and Mango regions under the Jamshedpur West Legislative Assembly.
This initiative came at a time when the festival saw a sharp rise in the price and scarcity of bottle gourds.
The distribution was conducted from the Minister’s residential office in Kadma.
Stalls were set up in various localities by the Minister’s team for efficient distribution.
In addition to the gourds, 5,100 soups, essential for worship, will also be distributed free of cost to those observing the fast.
This charitable act saw the participation of several senior leaders and local representatives.
Notable figures like Guddu Gupta, Sunil Jha, Ishwar Singh, and others played a significant role in this community service.
The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to supporting traditional festivities and easing the burden of the community during significant cultural events.
