Defying expectations, Borthakur, the third seed, conquered the court to defeat top seed Ritabrata Sarkar in a hard-fought match, signaling his dominance in the sport.

The Beldih Club witnessed a remarkable performance as Borthakur clinched the victory with scores of 6-4, 7-5.

The final battle, stretching nearly two hours, saw Borthakur not only upset the favorite but also add a significant 20 points to his national ranking tally.
