Adra Division Train Updates: Cancellations and Diversions Impact Jharkhand Travellers

Slew of Train Cancellations, Short Terminations and Diversions Announced in Adra Division; Waltair Division Also Affected by Landslides

Major disruptions in train schedules for Jharkhand and Bengal announced, affecting multiple train routes and causing inconvenience for travellers.

JAMSHEDPUR – A fresh bout of travel disruptions is set to plague rail passengers in the Adra Division.

Travellers are being notified of train cancellations, diversions, and short terminations.

The journey commencing on October 31, 2023, will see significant changes in multiple train schedules, largely owing to developmental works in the division.

The 08641/08642 Adra-Barkakana-Adra MEMU Special and the 03598/03597 Asansol-Ranchi-Asansol MEMU Special are among the trains that will remain cancelled on the specified date.

In addition, short terminations will affect the 18085/18086 Kharagpur-Ranchi-Kharagpur MEMU Express and the 18035/18036 Kharagpur-Hatia-Kharagpur Express, both of which will begin and terminate at Adra.

Further complicating the landscape is the diversion of the 18602/18601 Hatia-Tatanagar-Hatia Express.

The train will now ply via a new route that includes Muri-Gunda Bihar-Chandil.

Railway authorities have expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to passengers and emphasize the necessity of these alterations for developmental objectives.

Meanwhile, landslides in the Waltair Division of the East Coast Railway are causing further disruptions.

The 18005 Howrah-Jagdalpur Express will be short terminated at Titlagarh from October 29 to November 5, 2023.

Similarly, the 18006 Jagdalpur-Howrah Express will commence its journey from Titlagarh between October 30 and November 6, 2023.
