Adjustments Include Cancellations, Short Terminations, Diversions, and Rescheduling
Several trains in the Adra Division of South Eastern Railway will undergo changes due to ongoing development work.
JAMSHEDPUR – Due to ongoing development work in the Adra Division of South Eastern Railway, several trains will be regulated from June 11th to June 26th, 2024.
The following adjustments are on the cards:
Cancellation of Trains:
Several trains, including MEMU specials and express trains, will be cancelled on specific dates.
Short Termination/Origination of Trains:
Certain trains will have their journeys shortened or will originate/terminate at different stations.
The Gomoh-Kharagpur-Gomoh Express will be short terminated at and originated from Adra on specified dates.
Diversion of Trains:
Some trains will run on diverted routes during the affected period.
The Ranchi-Howrah-Ranchi Express will be diverted via Kotshila-Purulia-Chandil-Tatanagar-Kharagpur.
Rescheduling of Trains:
The Purulia-Villupuram Express and Haldia-Asansol Express will be rescheduled to depart at different times on June 24, 2024.
Passengers are advised to check the updated train schedules and plan their journeys accordingly.
"These adjustments are necessary to facilitate essential development work and improve railway infrastructure," said a railway official.
The South Eastern Railway has appreciated the cooperation and understanding of passengers during this period.
