JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant move towards sustainable development, Tata Steel unveiled a Plant Conservation Bank at its Jamshedpur Works today.
The inauguration ceremony saw the presence of Ruchi Narendran, alongside Probal Ghosh, Vice President of Shared Services, Tata Steel, and other company officials.
Boasting a capacity to house over 1,500 seedlings and saplings, the bank aims to play a crucial role in green initiatives across the works area.
Designed with modern technology, the facility incorporates drip-irrigation and misting devices that contribute to regulating environmental temperatures.
These innovative systems provide optimum care for the seedlings and saplings, which have been sourced from different ecological regions across India.
