“Run for DAV” Promotes Fitness and Unity in Jamshedpur on Gandhi Jayanti

Students, parents, and staff participated in a 2 km run organized by DAV Public School, Bistupur.

JAMSHEDPUR – On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, DAV Public School, Bistupur, organized an exciting "Run for DAV" event, bringing together over 350 students, parents, and staff to celebrate fitness and solidarity.

The 2 km run, flagged off by Ms. Mousumi Bhattacharjee, Mr. D.K. Sinha, and Mr. Arvind Pathak at 6:30 am, covered key landmarks in the area and concluded with a short programme paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi.

In the girls’ category, Subhasmita Kar of XII A emerged as the winner, with Rishika of XI H and Fiza Khan of IX B taking the second and third places respectively.

For the boys, Pulak Soren of XII A3 claimed the top spot, followed by Arnav Jha of IX E and Samar Choudhary of VIII A.

In the teachers’ category, Shashank Kumar Singh and Gibi Santosh were declared winners.

The event aimed to connect Gandhi’s teachings of health, peace, and unity with action, promoting fitness and social responsibility.

The day concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem.
