Babulal Marandi Visits Abhay Singh in Jail, Raises Questions on Jharkhand Governance
Jharkhand’s First CM Babulal Marandi Stands with Abhay Singh, Accuses Current Government of Implicating Him in False Cases
BJP’s Jharkhand State President Babulal Marandi visits Ghaghidih Central Jail to meet embattled party leader Abhay Singh, questions the political motives behind his arrest.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant political move, Babulal Marandi, BJP’s Jharkhand State President and the first Chief Minister of the state, visited Ghaghidih Central Jail today to meet party leader Abhay Singh.
Marking a stark departure from the usual political protocol, Marandi arrived at the jail without the accompaniment of any BJP workers, accompanied only by his secretary and bodyguard.
After a 50-minute meeting, Marandi left the jail premises for Circuit House, vocalizing strong support for Abhay Singh.
The BJP leader lambasted the current Jharkhand government for allegedly implicating Singh in false cases.
Marandi revealed that this wasn’t his first visit to Ghaghidih Central Jail to meet Singh.
He recounted that Singh’s arrest in the Kadma case had led to widespread protests in the Kohan region.
Echoing his earlier statements, Marandi reemphasized that Singh has been wrongly implicated and was not even present at the scene of the Kadma unrest.
Marandi asserted that Singh’s arrest was a part of a broader political conspiracy aimed at destabilizing their party in Jamshedpur.
He expressed confidence in Singh’s ability to fight the cases, stating that while Singh may be in jail now, he is a “lion” and will always remain so.
Asked about the intra-party dynamics within the state BJP, Marandi clarified that there were no major factional differences, attributing any small disparities to the natural course of functioning in a large party like the BJP.
