RIT Police Arrest Four Criminals in Seraikela District

Notorious Gang Nabbed; Arms, Live Cartridges, and Motorcycle Seized

Success for RIT police as Four criminals arrested; involved in extortion and other crimes in Seraikela district.

SERAIKELA – RIT police station in Seraikela district has achieved a significant success.

On the basis of confidential information, the police succeeded in arresting four notorious crime personnel.

They were sent to judicial custody on Friday.

The criminals apprehended by the police are Raja Singh alias Pagla, Guru Prasad Mahato, Prakash Gop alias Chhotu Gop, and Rahul Singh.

A country-made katta, a country-made pistol, four live cartridges, a Hero Honda motorcycle, and four mobile phones were recovered from them.

SP Dr. Vimal Kumar informed that on August 19, an extortion attempt targeting Arjun Mahato at the gate of Raiden Metal was made, involving an amount of Rs. 5 lakhs.

The criminal Raja Singh alias Raju has admitted his involvement in the case.

He revealed that he had given instructions to Rahul and Prakash Gop alias Chhotu for the task.

On August 19, the criminals attempted to shoot Arjun Mahato, but the bullet did not fire, leading to a case being registered on his written application.

All four criminals were arrested from Bantanagar on Friday evening during the crime planning, and they have accepted their involvement.

The suspects are now being sent to judicial custody after questioning.

SP Dr. Vimal Kumar highlighted that the arrested individuals had a previous criminal history, with several cases registered against them in different police stations of Jamshedpur and Seraikela, terming the arrest as a significant success for the police.
