Sonari Police Foil Criminal Plot, Arrest One with Pistol

Police Claim Notorious Gang Member Captured in Sonari

Swift police operation prevents major crime in Sonari, leading to the arrest of wanted gang member Sonu Singh alias Sial.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a crucial operation, Sonari police have successfully apprehended Sonu Singh alias Sial, a person with a history of serious offenses, thwarting a potential major criminal act in the city. Singh, identified as a resident of Khuntadih Ram Temple in Sonari, was caught in possession of a firearm, prepared to commit a grave crime.

Led by Saryu Anand, the Sonari station in-charge, the police acted on intelligence, leading to Singh’s arrest. During the operation, an illegal country-made pistol, ammunition, and a smartphone were seized from him, underscoring the imminent threat he posed.

City SP Mukesh Kumar Lunayat, at a press briefing, revealed that Singh, recently out of jail since January, was actively planning new criminal ventures. His arrest disrupts these plans, ensuring community safety.

Sonu Singh’s involvement with the notorious ‘Sial’ gang, known for its criminal activities in Sonari, adds to the significance of his capture. His previous arrest in 2023 for an attempted murder attempt highlights the ongoing criminal endeavors of the gang.

Additionally, Singh’s connections to the ‘Hete’ gang and the historical violence between the Sial and Ravidas gangs underline the deep-seated gang rivalry and its impact on local safety.

According to the police, the successful apprehension of Singh marks a critical achievement for Sonari police, reflecting their relentless pursuit of justice and dedication to maintaining peace in the community.
