Criminals Strike in Sidhgora Amidst Election Preparations; Police Response Tardy

Despite Heavy Police Presence for Upcoming Elections, Theft and Snatching Incidents Rise in Jamshedpur

As Jamshedpur gears up for the Lok Sabha elections on May 25, criminals have taken advantage of the situation, executing theft and snatching incidents in the Sidhgora area.

JAMSHEDPUR – While the district police and administration focus on the upcoming elections in Jamshedpur, criminals have been operating with impunity, particularly in the Sidhgora police station area.

Elections are scheduled for May 25, and police forces from across the country have been deployed to ensure security.

However, early Thursday morning, a shocking incident highlighted the lapse in local policing.

At around 6 am, the 60-year-old wife of Byasdev Tiwari, a resident of Agrico Shiv Singh Bagan, was returning home from her morning walk when a criminal snatched the gold chain from her neck and fled.

The criminal had an accomplice waiting with a bike.

Despite multiple attempts to contact the Sidhgora police station and its in-charge, there was no response.

This lack of police action allowed the criminals to escape easily.

The entire incident was captured on CCTV, with clear footage of the criminals from two different angles.

This footage could potentially lead to the identification and arrest of the perpetrators.

The incident raises concerns about the effectiveness of local law enforcement, even as the city prepares for a major electoral event.

The absence of a prompt police response during such a critical time has caused alarm among the residents.

This incident underscores the need for vigilant and responsive policing, especially during periods of heightened activity like elections.
