Three Youths Arrested for Cheating in the Name of Bank Account Openings

Adityapur police have arrested three youths carrying fake documents, who cheated people by promising to open bank accounts.

JAMSHEDPUR – Adityapur police of Saraikela Kharsawan have achieved significant success against cyber criminals.

Police have arrested three youths carrying Aadhar cards, voter cards, PAN cards, and SIM cards of different people.

After interrogation, they were sent to judicial custody.

It has been reported that these individuals used fraudulent means to cheat people by promising to open bank accounts.

All three have confessed their involvement to the police.

The accused are identified as H Shekhar, S Singh, and S Sharma.

They are residents of West Bengal.

According to received information, the patrol vehicle of Adityapur police station was passing near S-type Chowk when the three suspects started running upon seeing the vehicle.

This aroused the police’s suspicion.

The police chased and apprehended the suspects near the Jharkhand State Rural Bank at S-type Chowk.

During the search, the police recovered a SIM card box, bank cards, ATM cards, mobile phones, PAN cards, and some cash from the pockets of their shirts and pants.

"We have taken all three into custody and strict action will be taken against them," said a police official.

This success highlights the need for stringent measures against cyber crime.
