The 88th Foundation Day of All India Students Federation was celebrated in Jamshedpur, emphasizing the protection of student interests amid concerns over education commercialization.
JAMSHEDPUR – Today, August 12, 2023, marked the 88th Foundation Day of the All India Students Federation (AISF).
The celebration took place under the leadership of AISF District Secretary Mukesh Rajak by garlanding the statue of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh in Jamco and holding a nook meeting there.
AISF’s Jharkhand State Council member Vikram Kumar, who was present on the occasion, stated that the 88th anniversary of AISF is being celebrated across the country.
The country’s first student organization AISF was established on August 12, 1936, under the chairmanship of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India.
Kumar expressed concern over the current condition of students in the country, highlighting the continuous marketization of education and the challenges faced by students in securing their future.
He emphasized the need for a government that can protect the interests of the students.
Youth leader Chanakya also drew attention to International Youth Day, emphasizing the pressing issue of employment for the youth and students, referred to as the future of the country.
He called for a collective fight for the betterment of youth and students.
District President Pawan Kumar Prasad concluded the event by extending congratulations to all struggling students worldwide on AISF’s foundation day.
The event was attended by students including Pranjal Sharma, Rohan Singh, Aditya Srivastava, Rit Kumar, Gautam Kumar, Pratham Das, Dhriman Das, Abhishek Kumar Singh, Kumar Vivek, Vikas Kumar, Sumit Sharma, Mrityunjay Kumar, Saloj Kumar, and others.
