Modi Government Effigy Burnt in Protest of Manipur Violence
Jamshedpur’s Youth Congress burns Modi Government effigy, protesting against the recent Manipur violence.
JAMSHEDPUR – On the 6th of August 2023, the Eastern Legislative Youth Congress Committee, led by President Neeraj Sahu, staged a protest against the recent violence in Manipur.
The demonstration took place near Agrico Gol Chakkar, where the protestors burnt an effigy representing the Modi government.
In attendance was the Jharkhand State Youth Congress Committee Vice President Satyam Singh, and the East Singhbhum District Youth Congress Committee President Neeraj Singh.
Chants of "BJP Murdabad" and "Modi Sarkar Murdabad" echoed as the effigy was set ablaze, illustrating the Youth Congress workers’ disapproval of the government’s handling of the Manipur crisis.
The protest saw active participation from several district youth congress members like Sachin Kumar, Raghu Chandan, Head Golmuri Block President Pankaj Upadhyay, Birsanagar Block Vice President Abhishek Anjan, Nikhil Ojha, and others.
This display of unity among the Youth Congress workers underscored the political tension stirred by the violence in Manipur.
