Jamshedpur BJP Leader Abhay Singh’s Bail Hearing Delayed, Case Diary Awaited

Court in Jamshedpur delays hearing of BJP leader Abhay Singh’s bail plea, awaiting preparation of case diary.

JAMSHEDPUR – BJP leader from Jamshedpur, Abhay Singh, has had his bail plea adjourned once again in a case filed by Mohammad Sagir, a resident of Mango.

The decision was made during a hearing on Friday, where the public prosecutor requested additional time, stating that the case diary had not yet been prepared.

The court responded by extending the deadline by a week, till August 11, giving the police one last opportunity to submit the case diary.

Meanwhile, the court also held a hearing regarding the bail plea of Abhay Singh’s brothers, Dilip Singh and Nirbhay Singh, who were also implicated in the case.

For the time being, the court has stayed the arrests of Dilip Singh and Nirbhay Singh, issuing this order until further notice.

However, the hearing on Abhay Singh’s bail plea has been postponed until August 11.

According to the complainant, Mohammad Sagir, the Singhs demanded extortion money while he was building a flat on a piece of land he had acquired in 2012.

He alleged that an initial amount of Rs. five lakh was demanded, along with an additional two lakh per flat, with threats of lethal violence if the extortion demands were not met.

Sagir had registered a case regarding this issue.

In related news, Sudhanshu Ojha and Ranjit Pandey, who were accused in the Kadma violence, have been released from jail as they had been granted bail by the court.
