Ex-Servicemen from Jamshedpur Head to Delhi for One Rank One Pension Protest
Ex-servicemen from East Singhbhum depart for Delhi to join a one-day protest for uniform military service pay and rectification of One Rank One Pension discrepancies.
JAMSHEDPUR – At 6.32 am today, ex-servicemen of the Purva Sainik Seva Parishad, East Singhbhum, left for Ramlila Maidan in Delhi.
They are set to join a one-day sit-in protest over the discrepancies in One Rank One Pension (OROP) and demands for equal military service pay.
Ex-servicemen from all three services across the country, long-retired, have been advocating for this cause for an extended period.
In the past few months, various military organizations have been holding continuous protests at Jantar Mantar.
On March 12, a large assembly was organized at Jantar Mantar, after which a memorandum was submitted to the President, the Prime Minister, and the Defense Minister.
Servicemen nationwide sent postcards and envelopes to the Prime Minister, expressing their concerns.
To address these issues, all the organizations have convened a one-day sit-in protest at Ramlila Maidan on August 6.
The goal is to raise awareness about their problems once again.
Servicemen from all corners of the country are arriving to participate in this significant gathering.
There is a widespread hope that the government will soon act to resolve this issue, thereby enhancing the morale of the servicemen.
