Devika Singh Receives Warm Welcome in Jamshedpur as Women INTUC’s National President

Former Jharkhand State President of Women’s INTUC, Devika Singh, has been appointed the National President. She vows to address the challenges faced by working women.

JAMSHEDPUR – Devika Singh, a long-standing member of the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC), was warmly greeted in Jamshedpur by INTUC office-bearers and District Congress members. A resident of the city, Singh had previously held the position of the Jharkhand State President of Women’s INTUC.

Her appointment as the National President came as a recognition of her remarkable service within the organization. INTUC’s President, Dr. G. Sanjeeva Reddy, handed over the reins to Singh in a joyous ceremony attended by the city’s INTUC members.

The event, held at Pari Sadan in Jamshedpur, was led by Anand Bihari Dubey, the office bearer of Mahila INTUC and District President of District Congress.

Expressing her gratitude towards the national leadership, Singh acknowledged the significant responsibility they entrusted her with. She highlighted that many employed women, particularly female laborers, face challenges they struggle to voice. In her new role, Singh is dedicated to addressing these issues and strengthening the women units of the organization.
