Tata Steel Honors JRD Tata’s Birth Anniversary with Transgender Athletic Meet
Tata Steel hosts an exclusive athletic meet for transgender employees in celebration of Bharat Ratna JRD Tata’s birth anniversary.
JAMSHEDPUR – Transgender employees of Tata Steel participated in a memorable athletic meet that was held to honor Bharat Ratna JRD Tata’s birth anniversary.
The meet concluded with a relay race that was ardently contested, with the team from WB claiming the first place.
The JSR team secured the second position, while the TSK team came in third.
The dribbling the ball event saw Suraj take the top spot, while Francis and Anit claimed second and third places respectively.
The Race Balance Diary event had Singh from TSK secure the first place, JSR’s Prashant came second, and Disney finished in the third spot.
In the volleyball throwing competition, Singh from TSK was crowned the champion, with WB’s Francis and JSR’s Vijay clinching the second and third positions respectively.
The 100M sprint saw Anubhab from JSR emerge victorious, with Ayan from WB and Raj Ghosh from JSR coming in second and third places respectively.
Jaya S. Panda, Chief Diversity Officer at Tata Steel, graced the occasion as the chief guest, and other key officials from the sports department were also present to lend their support and cheer the participants.
This unique initiative was organized by the Tata Steel Sports Department and took place at the JRD Tata Sports Complex.
