Jharkhand HC Asks IO to Search for Audit Report in Jamshedpur Bar Case
On a Public Interest Litigation, the Jharkhand High Court directed a probe into the alleged financial irregularities in the case relating to Jamshedpur Bar Association.
JAMSHEDPUR – In response to a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) requesting an inquiry into alleged financial misconduct within the Jamshedpur Bar Association, the Jharkhand High Court has taken significant action.
During a hearing convened on Friday, the court issued a directive to trace the document upon which the audit had been performed.
In a noteworthy move, the investigating officer of the case has been ordered by the court to obtain a search warrant from a lower court for this purpose.
Following the acquisition of the warrant, the court instructed that the relevant papers should be searched for.
The PIL concerning this matter was filed by Rajesh Jaiswal.
Presiding over the hearing were SK Dwivedi and Sanjay Kumar Mishra, the Chief Justice of the High Court.
In compliance with a previous directive from the High Court, the investigator of the case was present in person at the hearing.
