Babulal Marandi Has No Support Base Left Now: Supriyo Bhattacharya
Controversy ensues as Babulal Marandi takes over as state BJP president in Jharkhand, with JMM stating he has no mass base and predicts BJP defeat in 2024.
RANCHI – Babulal Marandi, who lambasted BJP for 14 years, has now been handed the reins of the state BJP, says JMM General Secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya.
Addressing a press conference, Bhattacharya launched an attack on Marandi and BJP following his appointment as the state president of Jharkhand BJP.
The JMM leader alleged that Marandi has been appointed president to serve as a scapegoat for the predicted BJP defeat in the upcoming 2024 elections.
According to JMM, the BJP will not benefit from appointing Marandi as their president.
The party believes factionalism is dominating state BJP politics.
Bhattacharya said, “There are 5 BJPs active in Jharkhand. There is Arjun BJP, Raghubar BJP, JVM BJP, old BJP, and new BJP with the former state presidents."
