A blend of devotion and environmentalism highlighted the recent Srinath Shravani Sangam-4 event.
JAMSHEDPUR – Srinath Shravani Sangam-4, a collaborative effort by the Adityapur-based Srinath College of Education and the Department of Commerce and Management of Srinath University, was a blend of cultural fervor and academic dynamism.
The event was inaugurated by lighting the ceremonial lamp by Vice Chancellors Mr. Sukhdev Mahato, Mr. Gurudev Mahato, Dr. Govind Mahato, and faculty members.
The Vice Chancellor, Dr. Govind Mahato, during his address, underscored the significance of the present times.
He appreciated the fusion of devotion and greenery at the event and emphasized the teachings of Shiva in the context of protecting all forms of life.
The event was enriched with a variety of student performances and competitions linked to the festival of Sawan.
Miss Sawan was awarded to Junshika Ghosh Biswas, and Mr. Sawan to Rishabh Singha.
Additionally, numerous creative contests such as mehndi application, rakhi making, verse recitation, and umbrella decoration took place, with many students receiving recognition for their creativity and skills.
Reflecting on the Srinath Shravani Sangam-4, Dr. Mrityunjay Mahto, the Head of the Department of Commerce and Management, highlighted the importance of such events in connecting students with their culture. Despite modernization, the necessity to maintain a connection with one’s culture was emphasized.
The competitions were adjudged by a panel including Dr. Mithilesh Kumar, Jayashree Singh, Dr. Shubhashish Samanta, Rachna Rashmi, Vinay Singh Shandilya, Moumita Mahato, Madhu Sharma, Anuj Kumar, and Shivani Gorai.
The program was hosted by students Vivek Kapoor and Anju Mahato.
