Tagore School of Arts Celebrates Multi-Year Diploma Graduates at Convocation

Tagore School of Arts held a convocation ceremony for students from various years who completed art diplomas amidst the pandemic, marking a milestone in their creative journey.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tagore School of Arts, renowned for nurturing artistic talents, honored its diploma graduates from the years 2020-23 in a convocation ceremony held at Rabindra Bhavan, the city’s hub for art and culture.

The much-anticipated event started with a soulful welcome song performed by the school’s students, setting a melodious rhythm for the day.

The Chief Guest for the ceremony, Professor Jitu Singh, a senior officer at Tata Steel and XLRI, was welcomed traditionally with a bouquet of flowers and customary attire.

Dr. H.S. Pal, in his welcome address, emphasized the crucial role of art in life and expressed confidence that the graduating artists would make their mark in the global art arena.

Ashish Chaudhuri, the General Secretary of the Tagore Society, also shared his heartfelt wishes for the graduates, reminding them of the power of art to unite people and urging them to leave a lasting imprint with their creations.

The convocation, held amidst ongoing pandemic conditions, marked the culmination of three academic years, recognizing diploma graduates in various artistic disciplines, including Decorative Arts and Crafts, Rabindra Sangeet (music), Western Guitar, and Fine Arts.

During his convocation address, Professor Jitu Singh inspired the young artists and presented them with their hard-earned certificates and awards, applauding their achievements.

The ceremony concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Arup Ratan Basu, Chairman of the Tagore School of Arts, and was further dignified by the presence of the school’s Principal, Chandana Chowdhuri.
