Marwari Yuva Manch launches Water on Wheels in Jamshedpur, providing free cold drinking water to residents & aiding wildlife amid 44°C heatwave.
Jamshedpur – Marwari Yuva Manch Steel City unit has initiated the Water on Wheels campaign in Jamshedpur as temperatures soar to 44 degrees Celsius, causing discomfort for the city’s residents.
In a bid to provide relief, especially to laborers working in the scorching heat, the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of East Singhbhum flagged off a vehicle equipped with cold water containers.
The Water on Wheels campaign, now an annual initiative, aims to offer cold drinking water to the public free of charge.

A specially designed vehicle will tour the streets and square intersections in various parts of the city, ensuring easy access to clean and refreshing water for all.
The campaign has been launched with the primary objective of alleviating the hardships faced by the general public, particularly laborers who require cool water during their work hours.
In addition to providing water for human consumption, the Marwari Yuva Manch has also distributed 200 drinking water vessels for speechless animals and birds.
These vessels will be strategically placed at different locations across the city to quench the thirst of the local wildlife.
This thoughtful initiative not only aids the people of Jamshedpur but also helps the city’s fauna in coping with the harsh weather conditions.
The SSP of Jamshedpur, Prabhat Kumar, has congratulated all the members of the Marwari Yuva Manch for their noble work and extended his gratitude for their efforts in addressing the pressing issue of heat and dehydration during the ongoing heatwave.
