Jharkhand Congress Promises Real Guarantees Ahead of Lok Sabha Elections
The Jharkhand Congress unveils its ‘Ghar Ghar Guarantee’ campaign, promising effective measures unlike Modi’s unfulfilled guarantees.
RANCHI – At a recent press conference, the Jharkhand Congress initiated the ‘Ghar Ghar Guarantee’ campaign, eyeing the upcoming Lok Sabha elections with a set of solid assurances.
Rajesh Thakur, the State Congress President, criticized Modi’s failed guarantees and pitched his party’s commitment to implementing their promises.
The campaign revolves around delivering five ‘Nyay’ (justice) and twenty-five ‘Guarantee’ cards to households, detailing the party’s pledges to the electorate.
Thakur highlighted the discrepancy between Modi’s promises and their fulfillment, particularly criticizing the unmet job creation and financial promises.
Congress has laid out specific guarantees, including the creation of 30 lakh government jobs and financial support for youth apprenticeships.
A notable promise includes conducting a caste-based census and revising the reservation cap to foster shared justice.
For agricultural reform, the party assures legal backing for minimum support prices, a loan waiver commission, and tax exemptions on farming under ‘Kisan Nyay’.
‘Labour Justice’ guarantees propose health rights for workers, a minimum wage of Rs 400 per day, and urban employment guarantees.
Women’s empowerment is also on the agenda, with proposals like providing Rs 1 lakh per year to economically disadvantaged women under the ‘Mahalakshmi’ guarantee.
