This double-edged sword scenario has revealed that the local governing body and administration were unprepared for the rain, resulting in hardship for the people.

A striking example of this issue was observed in the Golmuri police station area.

Here, walls of houses located adjacent to a drain on the main road near Gadhabasa collapsed due to the overflow, damaging numerous properties.

Thankfully, there was no loss of life in the incident.

Despite this, belongings kept inside the houses suffered damage.

Residents reported that the local utility company, Jusco, was informed about the issue multiple times but no action was taken.

Currently, local community is trying to solve the issues caused by the rains.

Meanwhile, the intermittent rain continues, further escalating the plight of the people.
