JAMSHEDPUR – Today marks the 123rd death anniversary of Birsa Munda, the revered tribal freedom fighter, being commemorated across the nation.
Munda, who is worshipped like a Bhagwan in several parts of the country, especially Jharkhand, breathed his last in Ranchi Jail in 1900.
To honor his contribution and sacrifice, Union Tribal Minister Arjun Munda laid a wreath at Birsa Chowk’s statue, leading the nation in paying homage to the tribal leader. He remembered Munda’s sacrifice and urged everyone to follow his path.
In response to a media question about the recent incident in Manipur, the Union Minister emphasized the need for resolution, implicitly echoing Munda’s principles of unity and harmony.
