Jamshedpur MLA Saryu Roy Advocates for Settlement Ownership Rights

Saryu Roy Challenges Lease Limitations in Assembly Budget Session

Jamshedpur MLA Saryu Roy calls for comprehensive ownership rights for settlement residents.

RANCHI – Roy highlighted the division of illegal settlements from Tata Lease land, impacting 86 areas.

The survey identified 14,167 plots over 1800 acres, with 17,986 homes built on approximately 1100 acres.

Rameshwar Oraon’s response acknowledged the leasing of land up to 10 decimals per household.

Roy questioned the fairness of limiting leases to 10 decimals when homes occupy larger plots.

The discussion revolved around ensuring residents aren’t deprived of their homes due to lease limitations.

Roy’s plea emphasized the need for ownership rights over mere lease agreements.

The dialogue with the minister aimed to remove barriers to full ownership for Jamshedpur’s settlers.

Roy’s initiative seeks to secure complete possession rights for the residents, challenging previous government decisions.
