According to the villagers, these individuals were distributing stationery such as pencils and notebooks to local children over the past three days, citing an aim to promote education.

They also offered to provide free education to the children of the village.

The villagers, seeing this as a beneficial opportunity, agreed, and village children began to attend the makeshift classes held in Kolsai of Tola below Devgaon.

However, on Wednesday evening, certain villagers noticed that the children were being given books of a different religion, which contained religious teachings.

This discovery led to significant unrest among the villagers.

They informed the deputy head of the panchayat, Sangeeta Savaiyan, and also reached out to the Chakradharpur police station.

The villagers alleged that the young men and women visiting their village were attempting to convert the children through the distribution of these religious texts.

Following these accusations, officers from the Chakradharpur police station arrived at the village.

They detained the implicated individuals, taking them to the police station for further questioning.
